During a great flood sent by the gods to cleanse the world of immorality, Lord Vishnu took the form of a small fish, known as Matsya Avatar. He appeared before King Manu and grew rapidly, eventually revealing his true identity. Vishnu instructed Manu to build an ark and gather all living beings to survive the deluge.
During the flood, Vishnu defeated the demon Hayagriva who had stolen the Vedas from Lord Brahma, and returned them. He guided Manu's ark to safety, helping restart life on earth. The story symbolizes the evolutionary process, the awakening of Kundalini energy, and the liberation of consciousness from worldly illusions through divine knowledge.
